I went to the Beerfest in 2000 and it was so bad I went back the next year just to experience the badness again. Giant beers, pork knuckles and oompah bands playing "It's My Life" are just so over rated. I definitely won't be going via Premium Economy when I'm a Boomer and the kids have left home. You dodged a real bullet there.

Hmmm I can't help but feel like you freaking loved it! Damn. Fomo returning 😀

I would have had FOMO too! But not hard to turn it into JOMO when you have a nice dog like Colin.

Colin makes everything better. Although his breath stinks at the moment

Another way to view it Matt, if the plane crashed, because you didnt go, therefore you remain alive to inherit the empire. By all means let the team go and wish them well. However if the worst happens, well, as the one who didnt go, you have your choice of the desks in the office etc. Just a thought!

Yes true. Or another way to look at it. The butterfly effect. I am well and everyone came back safe maybe if I had gone my movements would have set off a chain of reactions that lead to terrible consequences 😀

Great perspective Matt, Im all about silver linings and this was a valuable reminder to adjust one's perspective when staring down the face of adversity. Bless Bless Bless.

Thanks Campbell. Pretty weak when my level of adversity is set at not getting a free trip to a beer fest'. 😀 needed to recalibrate!
