Morning Matt. if - as you mention in the article - weight loss is your end game - then skip the gym / weights. Muscle is heavier than fat - so if you are putting on weight - that means you are turning fat into muscle - which means that your routine is working. However at our age it takes longer for muscles to define than it does for a teenager...so dont compare your "buffness" to your son...compare yourself to someone your own age - who is at a similar position in their journey...

Yeah 100% terrible idea to compare. But interesting. Puts things in perpective. You kind of expect to get the same results you did when you were younger. It still surprises me that I don't. You have to get everything right to make it work at my age. But as of today, its health eating and regularly exercise. Weights, cardo. Old school.

I recently changed my training as I was in big lifts 200kg onward with deadlift and squats and so on now I'm winding the weight back and focusing on longetivty to keep up and run around with my two year old

No more cheese rolls mate!
There are some sacrifices I am not willing to take. I was born in the south cheese roll in my mouth and I aint ever gonna forget that. :)
